“A Practical Guide on GST”

Published by COSIA and authored by Mr. Sanjay Dwivedi. “A Practical Guide to GST” had its genesis in the suggestions of the members of COSIA in general and that of Dr. M.R. Khambete – President of COSIA, in particular. The book is meant for the Entrepreneurs and their accounts and tax team due to it’s simple to understand language and attempts to bring in conceptual clarity.

It has a two-fold goal as follows:
  • To Explain the GST Law in a simple language; and
  • To equip the reader to link it to the text of law. The book is addressed to the person who is required to pay the tax and ensure compliance. It helps to understand and find unswers to the everyday questions which a taxpayer faces under GST regime like:
  • Whether GST is leviable on a particular transaction? What kinds of transactions are taxable?
  • How much tax is payable?
  • Who is liable to pay the tax; when and how to pay?
  • What is the documentation, record keeping; and what procedures are to be implemented?
